Manchester Metropolitan University seeks a results-orientated research and database professional for this important new position within the University’s growing Development and Alumni Relations team. Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the Information and Research Manager will manage the University's alumni record database, Raiser's Edge, and be responsible for providing information on our alumni and supporters to better inform our fundraising and alumni engagement activities.

Typically, you will:

You will provide direction and lead the development services team to develop, build and deliver systems and services that are essential to enable the ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement programmes to flourish in support of the University’s core goals. This includes managing an accurate and GDPR compliant database, the identification and analysis of potential donors (high net worth individuals, corporations and charitable foundations) and responsibility for ensuring high standards in gift acceptance due diligence.

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data from a variety of sources (including non-standard-sources). Using your excellent communication skills, you'll be able to present this information in an engaging way, in a range of formats, and sometimes within a short deadline.

We're keen to speak with applicants that come from a range of backgrounds that could use their experience to make a big impact on this role. This would be experience within fundraising / donor research, investigative open-source research, or data and information management in complex organisations.

Above all, you'll be a creative thinker, with a keen interest in trying new things, innovating to bring positive change.
