Island House is a registered charity and community project based in London’s East End, established by the United Reformed Church in 1972. As part of the voluntary sector, we aim to deliver high quality facilities, services and projects for the promotion of the social, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing of people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and faiths in the Isle of Dogs and wider Tower Hamlets community. As a well-respected community resource, we provide facilities and services for a wide range of tenant and user groups as well as running our own community projects in the areas of Adult Learning, Youth & Family, Public Health and Sport & Leisure.

Following the development of our fundraising strategy, we are now seeking to employ a dedicated fundraiser to increase our financial stability – building upon our existing fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-makers, while researching and securing new funders. Applicants must be able to demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience of writing large funding bids and securing significant funds, have excellent communication and organisational skills, with understanding of fundraising policy and current best practice.

Details of how to apply, the job description, person specification and application form are all available to download from the Island House website.
