About the role: Following the restructure of James Hopkins Trust and an increase in our services, we are looking for a Grant Writer and additional Fundraising Support. This is an adventure not to be missed for creative, visionary fundraisers who thrive on playing an active part in creating robust and sustainable income streams.

Our Grants Writer and Fundraising Support will be an accomplished and inspiring writer with excellent time management skills. With a passion and creativity for writing successful grant applications, you will be responsible for researching a regular and reliable pipeline of new prospects, developing trusts and grant proposals along with monitoring and evaluating the results. You will also have an ability to forge strong and lasting relationships with existing and new supporters, developing them via written applications and face to face. Along with this you will be a vital part of the fundraising team ensuring we continue inspiring support from local businesses and the community and securing new income streams.

About you: Ideally you will have an enviable track record of success generating income from trusts and grants. This will be because of your impressive research skills and ability to prioritise opportunities from a range of grant making bodies, trusts and foundations. Your writing skills will be outstanding with the ability to produce high-quality, winning applications by converting our operational activities into compelling plain English. Along with your writing skills you will display exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate excellent relationships with all our supporters. Your abundance of energy and enthusiasm will ensure you will be results-driven. You are an ambitious and engaging individual with experience of prioritising and working to targets.

About us: We are proud to have been able to provide free nursing respite care to hundreds of life limited and life threatened young children and their families over the past 28 years. We are the only registered charity in Gloucestershire to provide this level of care, day and night, either in the family home or at Kites Corner, our multi-sensory respite centre and gardens. We are able to consider flexi-working arrangements for the perfect candidate, dependent on personal circumstances.

If you have a big imagination, personality and ambition to be part of our team, we are waiting to hear from you. Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will be required.

Closing date for applications is Monday 19th February 2018.
