Fundraising Development Manager (South, East, London and Special Events)

What is the role?

As the development manager for South, East, London and Special Events you will lead a team of eight across our community fundraising and special events team. You will lead the team to achieve a target of £2.2 million.

What will I be doing?

You will develop and deliver a multi-year strategy which will take the maximum amount of money for both teams. You will have a key role in contributing to the development of national regional fundraising, identifying and developing new initiative for the region and oversee the portfolio of events.

You’ll have a hands-on role in delivering one of our biggest appeals and implement a fundraising strategy. You will line manage three direct reports.

What skills and experience do I need?

You will need to be excellent at building successful relationships, organised and communicate with staff at all levels.  You will have experience of community fundraising and delivered to and exceeded targets. You’ll have created and delivered to a fundraising strategy, line managed a team and organised high profile events.  

Who are JDRF?

We are the type 1 diabetes charity, improving lives until we find the cure.  We fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. We also provide information for children and adults living with the condition at all stages from diagnosis and beyond.  We give a voice to people with type 1 diabetes and campaign for an increased focus on and funding for research to find the cure.
