About Us and this Role - Exciting times

Leonard Cheshire supports 30,000 people with disabilities across the UK and globally to live, learn and work as independently as they choose.

As part of our five-year strategy, we have set extremely ambitious goals to significantly raise our profile and grow our fundraising income.  A key focus of this will be invigorating the supporter experience, increasing and deepening our database and networks, improving the lifetime value of our supporters and working across Leonard Cheshire to maximise all supporter engagement opportunities.

Against the backdrop of our recent rebrand and accessible website, a new data team, CRM system and plans to launch a major ATL campaign, you will be responsible for framing all supporter engagement activity and play a key role in setting the agenda for our public profile.

You will lead a team of 6 people in the Individual Giving team and work closely with the Director of Trading & Commercial Development as well as with colleagues in Marketing & Communications, Digital Data and Insight.

You will lead on developing and delivering a new strategy to ensure an exceptional and unified supporter experience.  You will be the expert in data-led supporter marketing and communications, driving innovation to improve personalised journeys that increase loyalty, retention and life-time value.

You will play a key part in the development and implementation of Leonard Cheshire’s first major long-term integrated marketing strategy.  This is therefore an incredible opportunity at an exciting time to be joining our amazing organisation.

About you

You will bring substantial experience of leading, motivating and developing a diverse team to deliver and exceed targets, and of championing fundraising and enhancing the supporter journey.  You will have extensive experience of marketing/direct marketing with significant responsibility for driving growth.  You will have a track record of innovation in generating income and of launching and delivering successful new projects and ways of working.  You will be an outstanding communicator with strong influencing skills that ensure positive and sustainable internal and external relationships.
