Fixed term contract for 9 months could be extended up to 12 months. Maternity cover can be 4 or 5 days per week (pro-rata).

About the Role

At Leonard Cheshire we do Everything Humanly Possible to support individuals to live, learn and work independently, whatever their ability.  In this role you will play a key part in the development and implementation of events to generate income and raise awareness of Leonard Cheshire and our work.

This is a maternity cover post with responsibility for developing and managing your own portfolio of events. You will manage a programme of marketing communications, write exciting copy and produce imaginative promotional materials to attract and recruit event participants.  You will also manage the work of volunteers and work experience placements.

About You

This is an excellent opportunity if you bring several years events experience in a charity setting, along with a thorough understanding of marketing and customer care.  You will bring strong project and time management skills including planning, delivery and evaluation and have experience of using a database to manage participant data.

Joining a fast-paced team, you will be an excellent team worker, have strong communication and sales skills, along with the interpersonal skills that build relationships, influence, inspire and motivate a wide range of people.

You will be passionate and focussed with the ability to work proactively and on your own initiative.
