About the Role

It is a very exciting time at Leonard Cheshire, a time of unprecedented change for disabled people.  In this varied role you will be working in a growing team, raising support for our UK programmes and projects. You will lead and support statutory funding bids and work effectively with colleagues in our London office and across the UK, raising money for our UK programming.

You will build relationships with prospects and be responsible for a portfolio of current and potential funders, providing exceptional grant management to maintain, revive and grow support.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic fundraiser with experience of project funding, who can build relationships with institutional, statutory and trust funders.

You will have experience of securing programme funding for projects, working on proposals to funders such as the UK government, European Social Fund, Department of Education, and other major statutory funders.  You will be a positive and creative individual who embraces challenges, enjoys a diverse workload and is able to represent the charity at the highest levels. With success in cultivating new relationships, as well as managing existing donors and clients, you will also be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will have a proven track record of generating income through high quality applications and excellent account management. This will include writing timely reports, networking and cultivation skills; and the ability to quickly form relationships with internal and external partners as a representative of Leonard Cheshire.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a track record of success in securing funding, from European Social Funds, Big Lottery sources and Local Authorities, across health, employment, education and or technology.

You will have strong research skills and a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire.
