Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager (South)

Lepra is looking for a creative and passionate Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager for the South of England.  You will be responsible for effectively supporting and developing a team of 4 fte community fundraisers across the South hub covering the following regional locations:

• London x 2
• South East
• South West

You will drive income generation and increase Lepra’s profile within the South hub by engaging, inspiring and developing a new demographic of supporters alongside the retention of an existing and loyal supporter base.

With support from the Head of Strategic Accounts South, you will: 

• Research, devise, and deliver innovative approaches to prospective corporate and community partnerships linked to annual plan objectives
• Devise and deliver relevant stewardship and engagement programmes
• Provide appropriate recognition and support for the activities supported by the major donors and companies
• Maximise fundraising opportunity through the use of Lepra’s appeals literature
• Increase unrestricted-income from all channels including but not limited to:

• Partnerships
• Individuals
• Schools
• Organisations
• Corporations
• Events
• Trusts
• Payroll
• Sponsors
• Legacies
• Manage project visits and major donor cultivation events as appropriate
• Mentor a team of regional fundraisers to ensure that Lepra raises the annual targets for unrestricted-income
• Use a social capital approach, raising awareness raising of the charity, thus increasing Lepra’s profile and reach

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of income generation.

This post is full-time, 35 hours per week, home based in London.  There will be a requirement for flexible working in order to attend out of hours events in the evening or the weekend.  The ability to travel in the UK (and occasionally overseas) is required. There is also a requirement for own vehicle use, expenses payable.

Leprosy is a Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD), thought to be transmitted through nasal droplets, it most commonly affects people in parts of the developing world.

Every year, over 200,000 people are treated for leprosy. Yet evidence shows that there are over three million people living undiagnosed.

Left untreated, this cruel disease causes permanent damage to people’s hands, feet and eyes, leading to paralysis, blindness, infections and amputations.

Over four million people are now living with life-changing disabilities due to leprosy. And sadly, the stigma surrounding the disease means many are left to endure a lifetime of abuse, isolation and shame.

Lepra has been at the forefront of treatment in leprosy since 1924, from the development of an effective cure to ground breaking techniques to find, support and restore the lives of people affected by this devastating disease.

The importance of our work is recognised and supported by Her Majesty The Queen who has been our Patron since she became monarch in 1952.

As a specialist leprosy charity, we work directly with communities in India, Bangladesh and Mozambique to beat this disease.
