Do you have a breadth of experience of fundraising including individual donations and legacies?

Do you want to work somewhere that is flexible, friendly, growing and ambitious?

If yes, then our new role as Fundraiser may be the role for you.

This is a totally new role at LionHeart and the post holder would be the organisation’s first fundraising employee.

The role has arisen because of our ambitious new strategy that looks to at least double our impact over the next five years. In order to do that we need to significantly increase our income and we are focusing on areas where we already enjoy some success.

We are not looking to introduce new funding streams but to consolidate and build on established sources such as regular donations from members of RICS, legacies and clients account donations. We have an easily identifiable market (RICS members and their families), support and help from important partners and a very supportive board of trustees. The post holder will enjoy relative autonomy, the opportunity to shape and develop the role and the opportunity to focus on all aspects of fundraising for the organisation.

Does your current role restrict you to one income stream? Are you frustrated by focusing on target income rather than building relationships? Could you help us to develop our fundraising story and offer to encourage more members to donate?

What you'll be doing:

• Working with your colleagues across the organisation to produce all fundraising

   materials

• Working with our partner firms to establish and build our Direct Debit programme

• Working with RICS to leverage donations (such as Clients Account donations)

• Helping us to grow the LionHeart Guild - our invite-only group for our most valued

supporters - and our legacy giving programme

• Design and delivery of our donor journey for all individual givers

• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on our fundraising activities

What we can offer:

You’ll be based at our brand new offices on Colmore Row in Birmingham - a ten minute walk from New Street Station - with a small but growing team of enthusiastic and caring people.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will become part of the Operations Management team and will regularly work with the CEO on shaping fundraising for the organisation. The role is permanent and is for 21-28 hours per week (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).

We are committed to excellent work / life balance and flexible and home working are a key part of our workplace culture.

How to apply:

Please apply by 5pm on 8th March 2019.We do not accept CVs - we ask you to fill in our application form, paying particular attention to the personal statement.

Interviews will be held on March 22nd at our offices in Birmingham.

You can find out more about us on our website but if you’d like to know more about the role please call us and ask for Juliet Smithson, Head of Operations.
