Liverpool Cares is seeking an inspiring, charismatic, resourceful, creative and ambitious people-person to join our team as our first ever local community fundraiser in the post of Development Coordinator.

In your new role, you will lead our vital new fundraising work, developing and expanding our Community Fundraising programme – from inspiring and supporting volunteers to participate in challenges, to hosting exciting events, to leading on new campaigns that harness and mobilise our growing network.

The job requires experience, creativity, versatility, technical skill, positivity, perseverance and leadership. You need to be full of ideas, able to inspire and tell compelling stories in writing and in person, and confident spinning multiple plates at once. You also need to be diligent with your systems and processes to stay on top of the multitude of opportunities available to our brand charity.

So we’re looking for a creative, entrepreneurial fundraiser. The ideal candidate will have a track record of generating income, natural confidence with people, and strategies for dealing with multiple tasks and challenges at once. You will be outgoing and full of energy; professional with an organised approach, and a clear, authentic communication style.

Vitally, we need a real people-person: someone who can build trust and relationships across a network of businesses, foundations and other partners. We also need a numbers person: someone who is methodical, target focused and unwilling to give up as you expand Liverpool Cares’ fundraising initiatives and raise £50,000 in your first year and £100,000 in your second year.

In return, you will be trusted to work dynamically and independently in an organisation with a growing profile and backing from major local and national supporters. You will also be provided with development challenges and opportunities, professional support from across the national Cares Family’s growing Development team and ever-growing networks to play a lasting role in the development of Liverpool Cares and the “Cares” vision and family as a whole.

If that sounds like you we'd love to hear from you.
