The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) was set up in 2005 by four people living with the condition. It has one bold aim – to cure Parkinson’s. CPT funds innovative projects and inspirational scientists with the aim of building momentum towards a cure. We bring scientists together to improve communication and promote collaboration. We adopt a direct and ‘no nonsense’ approach to making an impact in the research arena. As our policies are shaped by people living with Parkinson’s, there is a refreshing passion, urgency and pride in everything we do.

As the Major Donor Officer you will play an important role, as part of a team, in developing, administering and stewarding a major donor programme for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust in line with the Trust’s overall income targets.  You will have the ability to develop major donor relationships, as a part of a team, and deliver stewardship from high net worth individuals through creating appropriate activities according to their motivations.

We are looking for someone who is confident and able to approach donors, is happy with face-to-face communication and has on-going relationship management skills, all needed to provide donors with the care and attention that they require.  You’ll have the skills to manage multiple potential, existing and new major donor relationships, supporting and/or involving other senior and junior team members as appropriate.

In addition, a basic knowledge of legacy fundraising is preferred but not essential.  You will be required to identify opportunities to advertise and promote legacy fundraising and identify major donor prospects with the potential to leave a legacy pledge.
