Job Title: Major Gifts & Special Events Officer

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (part-time hours can be considered for the right candidate)
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Penny Brohn UK, National Centre, outskirts of Bristol
Benefits: 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays + additional days over Christmas and New Year period. Free parking in a beautiful semi-rural setting.

This is a new vacancy, working within our Major Gifts and Special Events team at an exciting time of growth.  We require an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a very good eye for detail.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Successfully deliver an agreed programme of special events
  • Support the management of the donor pipeline including where appropriate, assisting with the development and stewardship of all donor relationships
  • Contribute to stewardship plans and collaborate with staff in its execution, through the development of donor reports, stakeholder communications, donor visits and events as well as other activity

Person specification:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience and/or an understanding of fundraising, events management and donor stewardship
  • Able to demonstrate and apply the principles of excellent supporter care and communication
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities effectively.
