Manchester Cares is seeking a creative, entrepreneurial fundraiser with a track record of generating income to join our team as our Development Coordinator.

We're looking for someone outgoing, confident and full of energy; professional with an organised approach, a clear, authentic communication style and an intrinsic understanding of the power of networks and digital media to raise funds.

As the sole fundraiser at Manchester Cares (supported by The Cares Family's national Head of Development and Director of Development, who work across Manchester Cares, Liverpool Cares, North London Cares, South London Cares and East London Cares) – we need a self-starter: someone committed, tough, and focused working alone as well as in teams; who is determined to develop, improve and sustain Manchester Cares over the coming years and in a challenging environment by raising at least £100,000 a year.

In your new role, you will be responsible for representing Manchester Cares externally, growing a network of corporate supporters by creating new partnerships with local businesses, devising fundraising campaigns to raise awareness of Manchester Cares, cultivating and communicating with supporters to achieve fundraising targets through challenge events such as 100k walks, half marathons, obstacle courses and more. You will enable people to host their own events to raise money for Manchester Cares and you'll host fundraising events yourself – for example pub quizzes, open mic nights and clothes swaps.

You'll also compose grant proposals, manage relationships with supporters, develop our regular giving programme, and inspire our network by telling powerful stories and creating content for our Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and email channels to help sustain Manchester Cares for the coming years.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
