Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK.  We bring together people affected by more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions. We provide a range of services and opportunities to help people live as independently as possible. We campaign to improve the quality of life of the people across the UK who live with muscle-wasting conditions.

This role will manage volunteers and supporters within the local community to maximise financial contribution for, and raise awareness of fundraising, for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Recruiting, managing, motivating and retaining volunteers and key supporters for the purpose of successfully running a mixed events portfolio.
  • Recruiting new supporters, volunteers and committees to fundraise for the charity.
  • Providing account management support to named Branches and affiliated fundraising groups.
  • Actively engaging with volunteers and supporters, spending the majority of time in the field.
  • Project management of national development initiatives.
  • Recruiting, managing, motivating SME relationships across the capital

As Community Fundraising Manager (internally known as Regional Development Manager) for London you will need a flexible approach to your working hours as the role will require evening and weekend work.
