The London Symphony Orchestra is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraiser to join the LSO’s Development team at an exciting time in the Orchestra’s history. The Philanthropy Manager will work with the Director of Development and lead a busy team to manage and develop the Major Donors, Patrons and Friends programmes. S/he will cultivate and expand individual donors’ engagement with the LSO with the aim of maintaining current supporters while working to secure new supporters to join the LSO family.

S/he will develop and manage the stewardship of the philanthropy portfolio, develop and deliver an annual plan for donor growth and legacy giving, and identify, cultivate and solicit new gifts. The Philanthropy Manager will have excellent presentation and organisational skills with a thorough knowledge of budget and database management. Confident, personable and persuasive, the Philanthropy Manager will be a key member of the Development team and will make an important contribution to the Orchestra’s success and ambitious vision for the future as Sir Simon Rattle begins as the LSO’s Music Director.
