Are you a self-motivated and sharp minded individual interested in major gift fundraising? Would you like to help beat cancer sooner?

Having recently brought together major giving, corporate partnerships, mid-value fundraising, special events and high value supporter partnerships into one ‘Philanthropy & Partnerships’ directorate, this is an exciting time for Cancer Research UK. We aim to build on the success of the £100m Create the Change campaign and secure significant donations from across the UK and the world, from philanthropists and partners who want to help beat cancer sooner.

To do this we need to grow our Philanthropy & Campaign team considerably over the next five years.

We are looking to attract ambitious fundraisers and have a selection of roles available focussing either on securing gifts from high net-worth individuals at the £100,000 level or on securing gifts at the £100,000+ level.

To do this you will...

* Manage relationships with major prospects, donors and volunteers
* Prepare detailed and creative cultivation and solicitation plans
* Work with colleagues to identify potential new donors
* Collaborate with teams across the Philanthropy and Partnerships directorate

Every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person, and our 3,500 people work relentlessly every day towards this goal. Every day we achieve extraordinary things by being innovative, imaginative and bold in our work.

Help us bring forward the day when all cancers are cured through your...

* Proven track record and understanding of major gift fundraising
* Effectiveness in building long –term relationships
* Ability to articulate the mission and vision of an organisation to inspire philanthropic engagement
* Intellectual curiosity to understand and communicate complex scientific areas of research
