The Role

The role sits within our ambitious Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. The team are responsible for raising income in the UK from high net worth individuals (HNWI’s) and charitable trusts to generate income in line with Brooke’s 5 year fundraising strategy to support Brooke’s international projects.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Advisor will lead on building relations with supporters that have the potential to give over £10,000, to generate increased income and support the 5 year Fundraising strategy.

The purpose of the role is to lead and manage a team of two and build excellent and profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with a diverse portfolio of HNWI’s and Trusts . The role will work closely with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to build team capacity so that the Major Value giving programme secure six and seven figure donations.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Advisor will manage cultivation and stewardship activities and will be accountable for increasing the number of supporters and prospects within portfolios through the planning and implementation of high level engagement events.

The role will work collaboratively with the wider Fundraising team to identify networks and joint income generation opportunities.

Criteria

You will be a motivated and driven individual with demonstrable experience of establishing excellent working relationships with HNWI’s, charitable trusts and foundations and proven experience of securing five, six and seven figure donations. .

You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders, adapting your approach as appropriate.  You will have demonstrable experience of working with restricted funds and writing high quality proposals and impact reports.

Highly organised and skilled in effectively managing projects, you will be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines whilst providing direction and support to your team as appropriate.
