The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 11 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on young people's lives across the UK. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can develop and create highly engaging, impactful proposals which will result in increased income for The Trust. Their aim will be to coordinate funding asks across multiple internal teams, support in the development of compelling propositions and write consistent, high quality proposals for our funders. This role will focus on supporting the development of new proposals for our private sector funders so an understanding of objectives across the different fundraising teams as well as the wider charitable sector will be highly beneficial.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing and writing proposals - preferably in a fundraising environment - with excellent communication skills and the ability to work across a variety of teams and seniority to develop compelling funding bids and proposals.  The candidate will be used to working on complex, simultaneous projects within tight deadlines, skilled at building relations with stakeholders across an organisation. They will have an enthusiasm and passion for the work of The Prince's Trust and bring this into their written proposals to engage and inspire funders to commit their support to our work.

The Prince's Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
