Racing Welfare is a national charity delivering a wide range of support services to the British horseracing industry’s workforce. To help fund its charitable programme, the Charity is looking for a Trust Fundraising Executive to join its small, close-knit fundraising team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with trusts and foundations as this role will be responsible for building key relationships and developing income from existing clients.

You will be expected to research, identify and apply to new trusts and foundations with well written and compelling proposals, seeking new support for the charity, so a good understanding of the racing industry and charitable sector is essential.

In addition to the above the successful candidate will;

  • be responsible for keeping accurate and up to date database records
  • be responsible for implementing a structured programme of activities to meet all application deadlines and keep trusts up to date with the work of the Charity
  • ensuring the fundraising function complies with all current fundraising regulation and guidance (Code of Fundraising Practice, Charity Commission guidance) and GDPR
  • compile and provide reports for the department as required

To be successful in this role you will need excellent written communication skills, with the ability to compose carefully crafted and persuasive correspondence. You will also need to be highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.

This is a full time role based from home, which offers a competitive salary and benefits package. We welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity in our workforce.

The role involves travel within the UK so is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Please apply including a CV and covering letter. Closing date for applications is: Thursday 20th February.

We reserve the right to bring forward the closing date if we receive a large number of suitable applications.
