About the role: 

The Regional Community Fundraising Manager (RCFM) has overall responsibility for the strategic performance, management, delivery and development of the Community Fundraising activities in their defined geographic area. The RCFM will represent the Society, raise its profile and promote its objectives in their defined geographic area. 

The role will scope and recommend what is required to deliver the Community Fundraising strategy in collaboration with their Regional Fundraising Manager. You will work collaboratively across departments and directorates at all levels to maximise Community Fundraising opportunities and to ensure a framework for excellent customer care. The team this role will be managing is currently made up of 4 community fundraisers, covering each geographic corner of Wales. 

Within this role you will work closely with the RFM to develop, implement and monitor a Community Fundraising strategy in the defined geographic area. You will be expected to deliver and monitor an agreed annual budget and plan ensuring the maximum return on investment is achieved for Community Fundraising in the defined geographic area. Collate month-end reporting and re-forecasts providing detailed analysis and delivering relevant commentary for Community Fundraising to RFM. You will also work closely with the RFM and community team to develop and deliver a Volunteer Plan. 

This role acts as a conduit between the RFM and community fundraisers and will include 1-2-1 meetings, creating bespoke fundraising tools, to promote behaviours, monitor legislation and good practice, as well as maintain effective cross-directorate relationships across the defined geographic area 

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to an A level (or equivalent) and a certificate in management or similar is desirable. You will need strong and diverse fundraising experience. You will need strong management, interpersonal and team building skills to deliver strong leadership and line management for a team of employees and volunteers. You will also need experience of managing, monitoring and developing budgets. You will need the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple concurrent activities, delegating where necessary, within agreed deadlines and to agrees standards. 

Experience of developing strategy and converting into actions plans for team to deliver will need key to this role. You will need excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences at all levels, both internally and externally. You will also need to have an understanding the value of data in a business context and ability to interpret data. You should be able to demonstrate a consistent method of working to others and to operate with confidence and integrity. You will need to demonstrate effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners and demonstrate sound judgement, evidencing tact and diplomacy. You will need to be able to travel independently across the regions, this will include occasional overnight stays as required.
