The purpose of the Fundraising manager role is to enable Respond to be financially sustainable to achieve its mission of bringing positive change to the lives of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, autisim or both who have experienced violence, abuse or trauma.

Responsibilities 

Fundraising 

  1. To fundraise from, and manage relationships with, charitable trusts and foundations 

  1. To work with Service Leads to submit high quality applications to trusts and foundations

  1. To fundraise and manage relationships with commissioners 

  1. To identify and cultivate partnership opportunities for joint funding bids 

  1. To build fundraising capacity and confidence of the staff team 

  1. To develop and track a record of grants and donations for acknowledgement, reporting and stewardship 

  1. To develop individual donor stewardship including the Friends of Respond 

Earned income 

  1. To support the Business Development Manager and Directorate in developing opportunities for earned income from Respond products and services

  1. To coordinate events to promote and generate income for Respond

Marketing and communications 

  1. To develop and manage Respond social media presence 

  1. To update the Donate page of the Respond website and ensure fundraising opportunities are optimised throughout the website

  1. To contribute to the updating of the Respond website 

  1. To develop promotional and fundraising materials 

Development 

  1. To work with the Service Leads and CEO to prepare timely reports for funders that communicate the impact of our work 

  1. To support an outcomes-focused, evidence-based approach to reporting and case studies to communicate the difference made by Respond 

  1. To represent the organisation at conferences, networking events

  1. To contribute to the organisation’s business planning and development of infrastructure 

  1. To fulfil a senior management role of part of the Directorate
