Donmar Warehouse

Director of Development

Covent Garden, London

Competitive salary and benefits

“Powerhouses do not come much

smaller, nor more powerful, than

the Donmar Warehouse”

Since our creation in 1992, the Donmar has grown to become one of the most popular theatres in the world, and has built a reputation for artistic excellence as one of the UK’s leading production houses. From our iconic home in London’s West End in Covent Garden, we create world-class theatre with international impact.

Under the bold and creative leadership of our recently appointed Artistic Director, Michael Longhurst, and Henny Finch, Executive Producer, we have exciting plans that will shape the future of the Donmar and create a truly inclusive theatre experience that represents our artists and our audiences both here in London and beyond.

We are now seeking a talented Director of Development who will be instrumental in shaping the delivery of this vision. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for developing a transformational fundraising strategy that will take us through a period of significant change which includes a large-scale capital campaign that will deliver a refurbishment of our existing theatre space.

Critical to your success in this role will be your proven track record of leading a high-performing development team and your demonstrable ability to deliver significant revenue and capital income against ambitious targets across individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations and statutory sources.  You will be an excellent communicator with an ability to develop and maintain high profile relationships both internally and with key external stakeholders and donors.

If you are interested in taking a key role in the development of the Donmar, passionate about fundraising in the creative arts and have a good knowledge of this landscape, we would love to hear from you.
