Development Manager

Alumni and Development, Alumni and Development

University of Leeds

Competitive salary and benefits

Do you enjoy engaging individuals to support projects which change lives?

Do you have a passion for the power and potential of higher education?

Would you enjoy fundraising for projects as diverse as using microbubbles as a cancer treatment through to scholarships for students from less advantaged backgrounds?

The University of Leeds is one of the UK's outstanding success stories in fundraising.  From a standing start in 2004, the Alumni and Development team reached the University’s £60m campaign target and is now well on the way to achieving the extended target of £100m.

This is an opportunity for a talented and committed fundraiser to join a supportive and professional major gifts team.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development and Head of Major Gifts, and with the support of the wider alumni and development team, you will work with academics across the University to build relationships with current and prospective donors to inspire their financial commitment to campaign projects and the delivery of the £100m target.

You will fundraise for all campaign areas to cultivate and steward a pool of prospective donors comprising individuals and organisations across a range of fundraising activities.

Can you deliver first class major gift fundraising to meet and exceed the aspirations of the campaign? Do you have substantial and recent major gift, or equivalent, fundraising experience?  Then we look forward to hearing from you.

This is a full time role but flexible working at 0.8 FTE will be considered.

For more information, please contact our recruitment partners Sonja Dunphy, Director or Drew Lamph, Consultant at Richmond Associates.

Closing date for applications: 9AM on THURSDAY 12th APRIL 2018
