Footsteps Fund Manager

Alumni and Development,

University of Leeds

Competitive salary and benefits

Do you want to join a high profile successful fundraising team within the University of Leeds?

With an annual target of more than £800k, raised mainly through direct mail appeals, telephone campaigns and leadership giving, the Footsteps Fund has over 14,000 donors, a recently expanded team and a dedicated group of student callers. The Footsteps Fund is part of the University’s Making a World of Difference Fundraising Campaign, which aims to raise £100m by 2020.

The fund provides scholarships to hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supports the University research activity as well as a range of initiatives which enable all students to thrive at Leeds, regardless of their background or circumstances.

You will build on the success of the Footsteps Fund to date. Through reviewing and interrogating data to develop our current strategy, expanding our fundraising portfolio to engage more supporters, and developing our digital fundraising activity, you will ensure the programme continues to grow and remains effective.

Your experience in managing multi-channel direct marketing campaigns, ideally in a fundraising environment, will underpin your success in this post.  You will be a skilled communicator and understand what motivates donors to give, be able to empathise with what it means to be a Leeds graduate, and be proud to build strong, supportive and lifelong relationships with our supporters and alumni.

If you love the idea of building relationships with colleagues across the University and beyond, and getting a buzz out of hearing about how philanthropy makes all the difference to our students and research, we’d like to hear from you.  For more information, please contact our recruitment partners Sonja Dunphy, Director or Drew Lamph, Consultant at Richmond Associates.

Closing date for applications: 9AM on THURSDAY 12th APRIL 2018
