Head of Individual Giving

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA)

London, UK

Competitive salary & benefits

Since our establishment in 1904, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) has been a world-leading training centre in acting and theatre production disciplines and inspired students of all ages to fully experience the transformative possibilities of stage and screen. As award-winners and leaders in their fields; actors, directors, writers, producers, lighting, sound and costume designers, prop makers, scenic artists, stage managers, production managers, our diverse student and alumni body make a significant contribution to the creative industries globally.

Our Development Department exists to ensure that the most talented students can access our pioneering and practice-led training in the dramatic arts, regardless of their personal or financial circumstances.  The department secures philanthropic and in-kind support to provide vital funding for scholarships, bursaries and our widening participation programme, and soon will be embarking on the RADA Attenborough Campaign that will bring our facilities up-to-date, in line with our world-class training.  We are therefore investing in the team with two new roles, to lead our individual and corporate fundraising activities.

Reporting to the Head of Development, the Head of Individual Giving will be responsible for developing and implementing the Academy’s Individual Giving strategy, increasing levels of supporter engagement, and implementing a robust stewardship programme.  You will have experience of securing donations at the five figure level or more, and understand the principles of successful individual giving, legacy and regular giving programmes. Your ability to build relationships quickly and your demonstrably excellent interpersonal, influencing and networking skills will be key to your success in this role.

If you believe you have the skills, aptitude and commitment we are seeking, and are looking to make a significant impact in your next career step, then we would love to hear from you. Please contact our recruitment partners, Sonja Dunphy and Drew Lamph at Richmond Associates, on +44 (0)20 3617 9240 or visit their website download further details on the role.
