Head of Trusts & Foundations

Holborn, London

Competitive Salary and Benefits

The University of the Arts London (UAL) is a world Top 6 university for art and design according to the QS World University Rankings® and Europe's largest specialist university for art and design.  UAL has a clear strategic vision set out until 2022 which is focussed on providing transformative education, developing world-leading research and enterprise, becoming the centre of public debate for the future of arts, design, fashion and communication, and building an inspirational, physical environment that supports its students, staff and wider communities.

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a significant part in the planning and delivery of UAL’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign and deliver a multi-million pound target. The full priorities for the campaign are still to be finalised, but are expected to include UAL’s hugely ambitious capital plans (including entirely new campuses for the London College of Communication and the London College of Fashion within the next five years) and support for students facing increasingly difficult living conditions in London.

The Head of Trusts & Foundations will maximise income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources to support UAL’s strategic priorities. Leading a small and highly committed team, the post holder will develop and implement a robust strategy to generate income, cultivate and steward relationships with existing and prospective supporters, and ensure that compelling proposals and reports are produced and submitted.

Your extensive fundraising experience will include a thorough understanding of trusts and foundations and a track record of successful applications, ideally at the six- and seven-figure level. Experience of building relationships with key charitable trust and foundation contacts, and delivering excellent donor care is essential to your success in this role, as is your passion for the arts, education and creative industries.

If you are interested in being part of an inspiring vision that will change the landscape of London and make a significant impact on the future of this institution and Britain’s creative future, we’d love to hear from you.  To view the information pack for this role please visit our website or to have a confidential discussion regarding the role please contact Sonja Dunphy, Managing Director at Richmond Associates on +44 (0)20 3617 9240.

We particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within UAL at this level.

Closing date for applications:  Noon on Friday 13th July 2018.
