National charity Right to Succeed is recruiting a part-time Director of Development to have strategic oversight of its Fundraising and Communications functions. He/she will lead on the day-to-day management of existing funders, the development of a pipeline of future funding and on the delivery of a communications strategy for the charity.

Right to Succeed is a young, fast growing charity making the transition from start-up to a sustainable, impactful organisation. It was founded in March 2015, with a mission to develop, pilot and scale collective solutions to educational inequality, overcoming the effects of the disadvantage factor in education.

Last year, the charity joined forces with the Oxford Youth Lab, a social lab that shares its commitment to working at grass-root levels to help those from different disciplines define and deliver solutions to complex problems facing young people.

The combined charity focusses on areas where improvements in education and employment could provide the greatest uplift in social mobility for children and young people. It brings together at local levels best practice deliverers, educationalists, influencers, commissioners, philanthropists and social investors to develop collaborative solutions to some of the biggest challenges in education today. It recently expanded into two new regions of the UK and is looking to continue its growth in the near future. The Director will play a crucial role in ensuring a financially secure organisation moving forward and to profiling the learnings and impact of the work of the charity and its partners.

If you are an experienced fundraising and communications professional and are passionate about improving educational outcomes for young people, send us your covering letter and CV. Please outline your interest in the role and how your skills/experience meet the specified requirements. More information on how to apply can be found within the recruitment pack.

Please apply as soon as possible, as we will consider applications as they are received, and may fill the position before the estimated end date of the recruitment process.

Please note this is a part-time role and the salary quoted is full time equivalent. The actual salary range is £27,000 - £33,000 per annum for 3 days a week.
