Build the business relationships we need to put British engineering first.

Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.

Building corporate relationships that deliver significant sponsorship, you will have a vital role in raising our profile whilst giving us the funds we need to succeed. Sharing our vision of creating a better world through engineering, you will contact and cultivate senior executives within major corporations, persuading them of the social benefits of making six-figure, multi-year commitments towards our crucial work. At the same time, you will closely partner the Director in implementing a long-term corporate engagement strategy, whilst creating some high-profile events that enable us to connect with our target market.

You will need the gravitas to act as a true ambassador for the organisation, and will bring an impressive record of securing sponsorship and corporate gifts via creative approaches and inspiring pitches. Needless to say, you will possess exceptional acumen in business development, innate ability to engage senior stakeholders and deep passion for engineering and innovation, and you will be a driven and highly motivated self-starter. Equally importantly, you should have a very analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to pass your skills on to others – and you will bring total focus on the bottom line and our financial future.
