About Us

Royal Voluntary Service is an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for a Trust & Statutory Fundraiser to join our team and drive support for our organisation.

We are committed to keeping people healthy, happy and connected and working alongside the NHS to give their staff more time to focus on delivering care. Each day, our 20,000 volunteers make a difference by providing practical support to those in need in our nation’s hospitals, individuals’ homes and local communities.

This would not be possible without the backing we receive from our supporters, funders and grants, which is why this role is so important to our ongoing success.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to help secure funding that will transform people’s lives.

If you are a persuasive fundraising professional with a background of securing grants, this is your chance to do something incredible with one of Great Britain’s largest volunteering charities.

As the Trust & Statutory Fundraiser, you will build strong relationships with our existing funders and identify new funding opportunities for our charity.

Focusing primarily on small and medium sized grants, you will:

- Contribute to the development and delivery of our trusts and statutory fundraising strategy
- Manage a portfolio of grant makers spread across Great Britain
- Assist colleagues with other fundraising and communications initiatives
- Analyse and report on the performance of our grants portfolio

About You

To join us as a Trust & Statutory Fundraiser, you will need:

- Experience of creating cases for support and successfully securing grants
- An understanding of good stewardship practice
- Knowledge of the funding sector
- An understanding of fundraising regulations
- Proficiency in fundraising databases, such as Raiser’s Edge

As a Trust & Statutory Fundraiser, you will be persuasive, articulate and passionate about the difference volunteering can make. You will also be highly organised and determined with a collaborative approach to tackling issues.

This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with 25 days’ annual leave allowance (plus Bank Holidays).

The closing date for applications is the 1st November 2019, with interviews scheduled to be held on the 18th November 2019 in Cardiff.
