This post provides an opportunity be part of a successful team of enthusiastic fundraisers, generating income through sales of pin badges, fundraising events and unique partnership opportunities. You will help secure relationships and donations as well as supporting volunteer fundraisers as they take on challenges to help raise funds to give nature a home.

By taking a lead community fundraising for Scotland your role will be to help maintain and grow that income by developing new ideas while maintaining proven fundraising methods. You will help shape the existing fundraising strategy as well as generate ideas to grow this important income stream and work with colleagues from across the RSPB on new community projects and income streams.

Ideally, you will have experience of community fundraising within the charitable sector with a knowledge of fundraising techniques, but more importantly, we are looking for someone who can lead, motivate and manage the performance of our army of amazing volunteers.

You need to be a confident self-starter with a positive attitude that motivates and inspires people to support nature conservation. Highly developed social and interpersonal skills are required as is a proven ability to build and maintain relationships. An interest in the environment married with commercial opportunities would be an advantage.
