The Director of Fundraising is an important role at Sarcoma UK. This role will lead the development of our fundraising strategy, delivery of our fundraising plans and activity, and management of the fundraising team.

This is a senior position within the charity and a member of our Senior Management Team.

Since the charity was established in 2010 we have seen impressive growth in terms of our reach, our offer and our income. We launched our Support Line in 2016, the Sarcoma Clinical Trials Hub in 2018 and we have invested over £2million in sarcoma research to date. We will invest £750,000 into research this year. Our 2018-21 strategy outlines three priorities: research; information and support; and awareness and campaigning.

Our fundraising success to date has been the result of strategic planning; investment into the systems needed to support fundraising; and the high level of engagement we have with our supporters. Our income growth is mainly from community fundraising and events and challenges, however we have huge potential around major donor, corporate, trusts and foundations, and legacy fundraising streams that we have only recently started exploring.

We are keen to find someone with charity fundraising experience gained at a senior level, who is looking for an exciting new role where they can make a real impact and help us deliver our ambitious goals. Our ideal candidate is someone who can provide insights into all types of fundraising streams; who thrives in a fast-moving and developing environment; who is motivated to maximise our fundraising potential; and who relishes engagement with supporters.
