About the role

The purpose of this role is to take the business lead in the development, testing and delivery of technical solutions that will improve the quality and integrity of data held on Save the Children’s CRM.  You will work with members of the team to automate processes and solutions.  You will:

Use your technical expertise to carry out details root cause analysis

  • Be involved in all ongoing initiatives and projects that aim to assess and continually improve levels of data quality and integrity within the database
  • Lead investigations into and resolve any issues identified as part of the process
  • Support the implementation, delivery and roll-out of new technologies that will further enhance our data capability
  • Develop the technical skills of members of the team so they have good knowledge of all technologies in use

About you

You will have a passion for data quality and be looking to demonstrate and share your experience working with data and technologies from the business side, in an exciting and challenging role that is central to the success of our Fundraising. This is a varied role in a large and extremely ambitious organisation, working with multiple stakeholders and multiple data technologies.

To succeed you will be capable of demonstrating:

  • Experience of data quality theory and an understanding of the benefits data quality improvements can bring to an organisation
  • Exceptional technical skills (including SQL), and proven experience of using these to investigate and remediate areas where data quality can be improved
  • Experience of integrating master business rules into other technologies, i.e. Talend, Adobe Campaign, Data Virtualisation, FastStats
  • The ability to devise, write and maintain data standards documentation, including a data dictionary
  • Excellent communication skills and superb attention to detail
  • Proven ability to problem solve
  • An enthusiasm to pass on your expertise and a strong sense of initiative
