Are you an experienced account manager who can engage and win people over? Someone with the confidence to build and manage strong relationships at senior level with our corporate partners? If so, this is a great opportunity to join an award-winning team as Corporate Partnerships Executive and play a key role in driving our fundraising goals forward.

A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change — with individuals, in communities, across society – and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

Fundraising is at the heart of Shelter’s success. Indeed, between 16/17 and 19/20 our fundraising income has increased from £33 million to £45 million. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas. New Partnerships generates new business through a range of corporate fundraising mechanics, while the Partnership Management team, where this role is based, lead the development of long-term corporate partnerships. And, as the division as a whole continues to grow and develop, it's a truly exciting time to join us.

About the Role

This is an essential role within the team, where you will support the employee fundraising and engagement activities across our valued corporate partnerships with B&Q, HSBC and Nationwide. Along with having the opportunity to manage your own small portfolio of partners, the role will take ownership for the planning, delivery and financial success of designated activities within these three flagship accounts.  You will be responsible for monthly reporting on income for partners, evaluating activities, updating databases and supporting the team in their activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept. Working within the Employee Engagement and Fundraising strand of the Account Management team, you will also support on managing fundraising materials and stock across your partners and provide personal and tailored support for partner employees who are fundraising for Shelter.

About you
As well as being an accomplished account manager with experience in the corporate or fundraising sector, you’re also great at managing client relationships, quickly understanding their needs and responding appropriately. You’ll be equally comfortable working at ground level with employees and at a senior level with our corporate partners, representing Shelter at meetings and gaining buy in to maximise income.

You’ve got a results-driven, collaborative approach, top notch influencing and negotiating skills, and respect others’ opinions. You’ll also have commercial awareness, lots of creativity and innovation, good time management skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new methods, processes and ideas. Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and databases (we use Raisers Edge) is also essential.

Benefits
We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
