Then join Shelter as a Senior Account Manager and you could soon be developing some truly iconic corporate partnerships, and leading our work in galvanising the private sector to fix the housing crisis in the UK.

Housing has become a national emergency that affects all of us. At Shelter, we believe a safe home isn’t just a fundamental need - it should be a right. That’s why, more than ever, this year and beyond we are leading the way to a safe home. We’re going to rally the country to join us on our mission to rise up, speak with a united voice, pick up the pieces and fix the underlying problem. Together we can bring fundamental change. And no matter how long it takes, we will succeed. We have some exciting opportunities to engage business leaders and we will be asking our corporate partners and prospects to join us to tackle the housing crisis by taking collective action. Will you join our award-winning fundraising team and help us?

About the Role

Lots of projects to get stuck into and a broad remit that involves managing staff and liaising with volunteers – these are just some attractions of a role that will see you manage and develop exciting corporate partnerships. We’ve been working with M&S for a while now, and we're busy developing our more recent partnership with HSBC. Accordingly, both will present you with a range of challenges that will include working on account plans and coming up with new initiatives. Helping to develop a team strategy and deputising for the Head of Account Management will be important too. And, when it comes to monitoring performance and progress against objectives and taking action to ensure deadlines and outcomes are achieved, again, we'll rely on you to deliver. Reporting on partnership income, evaluating your team’s activities and taking clients to Shelter services so that they can see some of the great work we're doing – all are part and parcel of this unique role.

About you
A great opportunity to further your career in corporate fundraising, you’ll need a proven ability to manage large strategic partnerships and apply commercial and financial principles to improve business performance. Ideally, you’re used to managing staff and setting objectives too, while knowledge of digital marketing processes is preferred. What’s for certain is you’re proactive, have great listening skills and understand the sales cycle from the perspective of a partner organisation, as well as the challenges they face. Great at establishing priorities and developing clear, efficient and logical plans to achieve your goals, monitoring performance and progress against objectives also comes naturally to you. So does taking action to ensure deadlines and outcomes are achieved, writing accurate reports and conveying complex ideas succinctly and persuasively.

Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, the possibility of flexible working, enhanced family friendly policies and significant opportunities for learning and development.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no-one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

Safeguarding is everyone’s business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies.
