Grants and Trusts Manager

Shine is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join its Trusts and Grants fundraising team as Grants and Trusts Manager tobuild new grant income streams to meet the annual income generation targets for 2018/19, and achieve a step change in income over the next three years.

The successful applicant will thrive on working in a driven environment and growing long lasting relationships with trusts and grant providers to sustain and increase Shine’s income enabling us to deliver new and existing services to members of all ages with the disabilities, spina bifida and hydrocephalus, as well as their families.  This is a major area of fundraising for the charity with ambitions for significant growth over the coming two years

The role will further develop our systems and approach for seeking funding from trusts, foundations and grant givers to deliver Shine's invaluable services.  The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of working with lead service staff to develop a programme of core and project-work priorities for funding, driving the strategic development and operations of  the department. You will write compelling funding requests and supporting information, whilst also having a strong interest in research and communication.  You will manage the Trusts Officer. 

In return, Shine offers a competitive salary in the range of £30k-£33k, a statutory pension scheme, employee assistance scheme, life assurance and 25 days annual leave.

Location: Peterborough or home-based with a commitment to 2 days a week minimum in the office
