Fundraising Officer

We are a long-established LOCAL charity with a great reputation and a strong track record of delivering community projects. For almost 60 years we have been working county-wide with local people to develop and deliver practical solutions to rural problems. We reduce the disadvantage that can result from living in a rural area, such as poor access to services and support, and greater vulnerability to isolation, poverty and poor health.  We deliver our work through a variety of projects. Towards the end of 2020 we will begin the celebrations of 60 years of serving the community in Shropshire followed by a comprehensive programme of fundraising events.

We are looking for someone pro-active and dynamic to support us to significantly increase our charitable income so that we can deliver more services to more people. 

As an experienced fundraising professional you will have a proven track record of organising events and attracting sponsorship, as well as the ability to diversify our income through new business ideas and development of commercial and community partnerships.  Whether your background is public/voluntary sector, or commercial, you will be able to demonstrate that you can deliver against challenging targets. Your excellent “people skills” will enable you to build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors and funders.
