Are you looking to develop your career within fundraising/development?  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong admin skills to be part of all of the development activity at Snape Maltings.

Snape Maltings is a place of energy and inspiration – one of the world’s leading centres of music and a visitor destination of outstanding natural beauty.  This is a step-change moment in our organisation’s history, with ambitions to embark on a large-scale capital campaign to develop the site significantly and, in turn, its activity.

Our Development Team funds around half of our activity – from the concert platform to our learning and inclusion and artist development work - and this is one of the new roles which has been created to underpin our ambitious growth. 

This role will provide essential administrative support for activity across all income streams,  including processing gifts, keeping the database up-to-date and accurate, handling renewals, chasing payments, preparing letters, brochures and guest lists, and assisting with the preparation of reports.  You will also manage the organisation’s Advanced Booking List members and be required to attend and assist with fundraising events. 

Essential requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally gained in a fundraising/development environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multi-task without compromising accuracy or quality of work
  • Highly computer literate – able to use Excel and databases (preferably a fundraising CRM system)
