Snape Maltings is a place of energy and inspiration – one of the world’s leading centres of music and a visitor destination of outstanding natural beauty.  This is a step-change moment in our organisation’s history, with ambitions to embark on a large-scale capital campaign to develop the site significantly and, in turn, its activity.

Our Development Team funds around half of our activity – from the concert platform to our learning and inclusion and artist development work. This role is an essential part of our plans to achieve significant growth.

Primarily the postholder will manage the relationships with our legacy pledgers and in memory donors, as well as seeking opportunities to grow these income streams.  Balancing the need to achieve fundraising ambitions within what can be a sensitive area will take skilful communication, understanding and empathy as well as a clear understanding of legacy giving and promotion.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of legacy and in-memory fundraising
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships based on trust and confidence
  • Accurate and efficient administration skills
