Solent Mind is the largest third sector provider of mental health services in the Hampshire region offering a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support in communities across Southampton, Portsmouth and Hampshire.  

The services we offer range from psychological therapies, advocacy, wellbeing, employment support, through to horticulture and peer support.  In 2016/17 our highly motivated staff and volunteers touched the lives of over 20,000 people.

We are looking for a highly organised individual with successful experience in grants and/or trust writing to join our busy fundraising team.

We are currently recruiting for a Grants and Trusts Officer ref:  GTOmay18

£24,341 - £26,214 per annum - 37 hours per week - Based at our Head Office in Southampton

As Grants and Trusts Officer, as part of the fundraising team, you will:

  • Support the growth of Solent Mind’s unrestricted and restricted income in line with annual targets set By Head of Business and Corporate Relations and Senior Management Team
  • Draw up and implement plans for a successful grants and trusts programme and ensure all relevant administrative objectives are managed for each application
  • Research and write grants and trusts applications, co-ordinating all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the bid is submitted by the deadline
  • Support the wider fundraising team as necessary in key areas of fundraising such as community and events, legacies, corporate fundraising, etc.
