Shine is looking to significantly grow services over the next five years which means income generation must be in line with our strategic aims. We believe we will achieve our goals by engaging a specialist fundraising team. A team dedicated to the cause, with the breadth of knowledge and proven success to deliver income beyond expectations.

Reporting to the fundraising manager and based in Peterborough, you will develop and manage income from Corporates and SME’s. You will also support the fundraisers in the field.

You will grow income through ethical, legal and relational fundraising methods.

You will have at least three years experience with proven success in this field. You will develop compelling winning pitches. Using Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce you will manage a high number of prospects and donors effectively and manage complex pipelines in order to develop income.

Shine’s USP are ten virtual balloon races a year. A small sales team based in Peterborough generate £840K per year garnered from a high number and wide range of companies. In order to enhance and maximise income, you will work with the team leader in cross selling products and engaging staff within these companies with the long term aim of securing Corporate Agreements with companies with synergy and CSR policies in line Shine and the cause.  

You will also be proactive in identifying prospects and have proven success in securing Charity of the Year Agreements as well as engaging staff through community fundraising and Challenge Event activities. Therefore, you will need to be able to work well in a team environment and work together in maximising income.

You will be given specific targets to raise for core services as well as secure corporate funding for special projects. For example, seek funding for a Shine Clinic at The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by working in partnership with companies in the Hospital catchment area.
