Community Fundraising Manager, St Wilfrid’s Hospice

37.5 hours per week

Salary c£32,000 per annum dependent upon experience

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is the local hospice for Eastbourne and surrounding parts of East Sussex, serving a population of 235,000 people. Our mission is ‘Reaching out to transform end of life care’, which we do from our state of the art hospice and through a range of community-based activity. We are rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

This is an exciting time to join St Wilfrid’s as the Hospice is embarking upon our ‘Closer to You Campaign’ aimed at caring for even more people across our catchment area. We already receive wonderful support from our community but we need to continue to grow both our community and events fundraising if we are to achieve our goals. 

We have a fantastic opportunity to lead an established and effective team in growing income from community and event fundraising and to achieve acquisition and donor journey targets.

The role holder will develop and support the team to manage the community fundraising programme, together with hospice run and challenge events, as well as having the opportunity to build and manage their own personal portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a track record of community and events fundraising, and of motivating and supporting an enthusiastic team.

In addition to a competitive salary we offer 27 days annual leave and pension arrangement.
