The Role
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will be leading and developing the Sue Ryder corporate partnerships programme, including targeted national fundraising partnerships to tackle outcomes to address a shared societal issue, corporate sponsorship and strategic alliances for donated goods and services to support Sue Ryder’s Retail network of 450 shops.  You will also support regional teams with strategy development to deliver growth in corporate partnerships in the footprint of our services in geographically diverse locations
Key responsibilities
•  Develop a multiyear strategy, activity plan and budget in order to significantly grow income across Sue Ryder nationally.
•  Develop cultivation plans to build long term strategic relationships with key prospects, both corporates and HNWIs, to maximise opportunities in line with organisational strategy.
•  Proactively match Sue Ryder’s strategic ambitions and aspirations, developing a robust pipeline with clear routes for engagement.
•  Ensure that the Raisers’ Edge supporter database is updated with all relevant information in line with organisational policies and procedures and is GDPR complaint.
•  To participate in budgeting and financial management at department level and monitor and report on income against targets, KPIs, evaluate activities and budgets, adapting plans and reforecasting as necessary in order to meet targets
About You
An expert networker, with proven experience of developing clear propositions to deliver income growth through the development of broad based partnerships over £100K, you will ideally have a thorough understanding of the importance of aligning our brand with partners who share our values and ambitions to deliver clear mutual business benefits.  You will need a proven ability to develop strong internal cross organisational relationships at a senior level especially with CEO, Directors and Trustees.  Strong interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the motivations of donors, high value and high profile volunteers and influencers are essential in order to succeed in the role and progress your career with us.
