Sue Ryder have had an exciting opportunity arise as we look to appoint an Individual Giving Executive. Working within the Individual Giving Team the successful candidate will offer experience in developing compelling marketing materials and copy for print, web and social media.

This 6 month fixed term role will report to the Senior Individual Giving Manager with the opportunity to gain strong experience in IG fundraising at a National Charity; involvement in an organisation-wide Christmas campaign; and the chance to help develop a new structure and strategy for the next three years.

• The Individual Giving Executive role:
• Direct and digital marketing campaign planning and delivery; to include managing timings, campaign budgets, collating feedback and approval from key stakeholders, liaising with suppliers and ensuring materials are compliant and on-brand
• Support on a variety of projects across Individual Giving; including direct mail, email, social and telephone campaigns and face-to-face supporter acquisition activity.
• Ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner
• Managing data provision for a variety of campaigns to target key audiences using a segmented and streamlined approach
• Supporting on the delivery and development of effective and inspiring Supporter Journeys
• Working alongside face-to-face and telephone agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered to budget and to a high standard
• Investigating new channels of supporter engagement including social channels as a stewardship and acquisition tool
• Responsible for the delivery and management of income and expenditure for assigned campaigns
• Assisting with the management of volunteer staff, including supervising workload and overseeing tasks
• Building relationships with regional teams to maximise income
• Ensuring the smooth running of the Individual Giving Team through managing administrative processes

You will have:

• Advanced IT skills, proficient in MS Office and ideally including some experience working with databases such as Raiser’s Edge
• Experience of developing compelling marketing materials and copy for print, web and social media
• Strong ability to think innovatively to improve supporter experience and make processes more efficient
• Good interpersonal skills – experience facilitating across multiple teams, managing feedback, excellent communication and customer service
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritises work in relation to its deadline

The Individual Giving Team is responsible for recruiting new individual supporters and maximising relationships with existing supporters through a range of direct and digital marketing activity. The post-holder will work as part of the Individual Giving Team, maximising income and developing supporter relationships across a variety of direct marketing campaigns and activities.

At present this role is a fixed 6-month contract as we consider a positive restructure of our IG Team. However following this period there may be opportunities arising from this which the post-holder will be well-placed to apply for.
