Who are we?

We are a rapidly growing charity seeking to accelerate change for those affected by brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. Our five-year strategy is ambitious and sets out plans to double survival from brain tumours and halve the harm they cause to quality of life.

Our exciting job role!

You will operate at the centre of a growing team and work across the organisation to support and deliver a portfolio of events, including our inaugural awards ceremony and conference for Nurses and Allied Healthcare professionals. You will also lead on delivering our Family Days which give families affected by a brain tumour the chance to spend time together away from hospital and enjoy a day out.

This role is full time - 37.5 hours and will be based in our Farnborough office. However, due to the nature of the role, travel and out of hours working will be expected.

What we'd like from you:

It's simple - all you need to succeed in this role is talent, ambition and energy. You must completely embrace our values, offer a great cultural fit, inspire us every day and deliver amazing results in a fast paced environment.

According to the job description you should also be a highly motivated individual, keen to use their organisational skills to make a real difference. You will be able to juggle a myriad of conflicting and diverse priorities and work efficiently and effectively, and often under pressure, to meet deadlines.

As a  conscientious and dedicated professional, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to engage with a wide range of supporters. Ideally you will have previous experience in events, whether in paid work, as a volunteer or as an intern.

What we'd like to give you:

- Salary c.£18,000 (dependent on experience)

- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (we also close at Christmas in return for you volunteering 3 charity days per year)

- Generous pension contribution*

- Life assurance cover*

- Employee Assistance Programme

- Loads of other great benefits, plus an amazing culture to work in, a great team and lots of fun (and cake!)

How to apply to join our amazing team:

Please apply online attaching your CV and a supporting statement explaining why you want the role, what you would bring to the team and how your skillset and experience will enable us to make a real impact for those affected by brain tumours.
