Based at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral/Liverpool

THE CHARITY

The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is in the most exciting phase of its history.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, one of the largest networked cancer hospitals in the UK, is currently building Liverpool's first dedicated cancer hospital, due to open in May next year.

We are looking for a target driven, relationship builder to identify, secure and manage high value partnerships across the corporate sector. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager to be part of something truly special, as this role is instrumental in the charity's current project to raise the remaining £5m needed for this wonderful new facility. The Liverpool hospital is the first stage of a wider initiative to transform cancer care for a population of 2.4m people across Merseyside and Cheshire which will bring treatment closer to home for the vast majority of our patients, take innovation from bench to bedside faster than ever before and could help save an additional 700 lives every year.

You could be at the heart of our dedicated Fundraising Team to take cancer care to a new level.

THE ROLE

The focus of this role will be to generate income and positive publicity for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity through the development of an effective Corporate Fundraising Programme throughout the region.

This will involve:
- Securing and account managing corporate partners
- Development and promotion of Payroll Giving, sales promotions, matched giving, recycling and employee fundraising activities
- Initiating new ideas for corporate fundraising and sponsorship proposals
- Representing the charity within the business community
- Cultivating relationships with, and delivering talks to, larger local businesses and organisations
- Providing leadership and developing a strategy for the charity's corporate income stream

The successful candidate will have a natural ability to inspire others to achieve the best possible fundraising outcome for the charity. You will devise and implement a robust action plan for corporate income which draws upon your own experience and abilities, in partnership with team members and based on our current fundraising strategy, to ensure success.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in corporate fundraising or appropriate transferable skills. You will thrive on the challenge of developing new and diverse methods of attracting support for the charity, with an ability to adapt to social and economic trends in giving. Your drive, commitment and personality will allow you to grow income through excellent relationships with supporters and potential partners.

Please ensure that you meet the person specification before applying for this post.
