As the Charity is on the brink of a new and exciting major appeal, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Fundraising Manager to be at the heart of this growing team.

THE ROLE

The main focus of the role is to develop and implement an annual fundraising events programme that generates income and positive publicity to meet agreed targets and to generate additional income for the Charity through the building of effective relationships with key donors.

General Overview

The successful candidates will have a natural ability to inspire others to participate in events and achieve the best possible fundraising outcome for the Charity. You will devise and implement a robust action plan for  the Events team which draws upon your own experience and abilities, in partnership with team members and based on our current fundraising strategy, to ensure the delivery of a successful Events programme.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Events Fundraising in a charity or commercial setting. You will thrive on the challenge of developing new and creative events to support the Charity, with an ability to adapt to social and economic trends. Your drive, commitment and personality will allow you to grow income through excellent relationships with supporters and potential partners.

Please ensure that you meet the person specification before applying for this post.

As one of the UK’s leading specialist cancer centres, we have hugely ambitious plans for ensuring every patient receives truly outstanding care and can access the most advanced treatments and clinical trials. We’re expanding with a major 11-floor new hospital in the heart of Liverpool due to open in 2020 on the same thriving research and healthcare campus as the University of Liverpool and Royal Liverpool University Hospital. And we’re transforming cancer care across Merseyside, Cheshire and surrounding areas, working with healthcare partners across the region.

We’re here to deliver the best cancer care to the people we serve and we’re looking for applications from those who share that commitment and our values: Putting people first; Achieving excellence; Passionate about what we do; Always improving our care; and Looking to the future.

If you want to be part of a fantastic team and help support the Trust with our vision for providing the best cancer care in the country, then we want to hear from you.
