The Courtauld Institute of Art has become the world’s foremost centre for the study of visual art with renown programmes in the history of art, conservation and curating. The Courtauld is a University and a Gallery, working together to make art accessible to all, by inviting our varied audiences and a diverse student population to think more deeply and engage more fully in questions about why and how the history of art matter, and why an understanding of our visual culture is urgently important in contemporary society.

The Development Operations Manager is a critical member of the Development team responsible for providing guidance and support to all sections of the Development department based on their in-depth knowledge and understanding of information management and financial systems.

The Development Operations Manager has oversight of day-to-day processes, operations, and systems to contribute towards the overall strategic direction of the department. The work of the Development Operations Manager underpins the success of the Development team at The Courtauld.

The Courtauld’s Development Office is a fast-paced and professional department, established in 2005. The Development team is responsible for delivering philanthropic income to support The Courtauld’s strategic and core initiatives as well as fundraising for a major capital redevelopment programme called Courtauld Connects. In 2017, more than £11m in gifts and pledges were secured. The Courtauld's two Membership programmes – Friends of The Courtauld and the patrons’ group, the Samuel Courtauld Society – are extremely active and there is well-established alumni relations programme, with an annual cycle of events and communications for 7,500 individuals in our global network. Alumni, members and other supporters regularly contribute to The Courtauld’s Annual Fund which raises over £100,000 per year.
