Fairtrade Foundation is recruiting a Grants Officer within the Programme Partnerships team.

The post holder will provide excellent support to the Programme Partnerships team with a particular focus on managing the administrative and financial processes associated with the active programmes portfolio, and managing the data that comes out of the programmes work. The Foundation is increasingly focused on securing investment into a series of programmes to support work with Fairtrade farmers and workers. The investment from grants or finance from commercial partners requires very careful monitoring and recording to comply both with donor requirements and the Foundation’s own internal audit practice as well as to support learning within the Fairtrade system to improve our performance. .

The ideal candidate will need to have a very good eye for detail and understanding of financial and data processes. We need you to have some experience of working in a similar role but it is not essential that you have experience as a Grants Officer. You will be working closely with colleagues and supported by an experienced team within Programme Partnerships and Finance so we need good team working experience within an office environment and ability to work independently once shown the job requirements. We need excellent IT skills and ability to support the team with administrative tasks such as generating powerpoint presentations. There will be opportunities to learn about fundraising and generating strong funding proposals. The busy environment requires excellent organizational and prioritsation skills.
