The Hepworth Wakefield is an award-winning art gallery in the heart of Yorkshire, set within Wakefield’s historic waterfront, overlooking the River Calder. Designed by the acclaimed David Chipperfield Architects, the gallery opened in May 2011 and has already welcomed 2 million visitors and regularly receives national and international acclaim

Named after Barbara Hepworth, one of the most important artists of the 20th century who was born and brought up in Wakefield, the gallery presents major exhibitions of the best international modern and contemporary art. It is also home to Wakefield’s art collection – an impressive compendium of modern British and contemporary art – and has dedicated galleries exploring Hepworth’s art and working process.

It is an exciting time for The Hepworth Wakefield as we capitalize on the success of winning Museum of the Year in July 2017 and continue to strive to reach our full fundraising potential.

The Senior Development Manager will work on all areas of fundraising for the gallery and will lead on major applications to trusts, foundations and public funding bodies. They will work closely with the Director of Communications & Development to devise and implement the fundraising strategy and will lead the team to ensure all agreed fundraising income targets are achieved. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of cultivating relationships with a variety of stakeholders and donors.

If you are a results-driven individual with a proven track record of fundraising and relationship management, we would be very keen to hear from you.

Please note we only accept completed application forms. No agencies.

The deadline for applications is 9am on Tuesday 8 May 2018.
