We are looking for someone who is used to providing administrative support to join us as a Trusts Fundraising Assistant. You will play an integral part in the Trust Fundraising Team processing income, researching new funding opportunities and managing low level funders that support The Salvation Army’s UK programme of work.

The Salvation Army is a worldwide charity and Christian church, working in over 128 countries. Founded more than 150 years ago in the East End of London, we are the largest provider of welfare services in the UK after the Government.  

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for ensuring that all trusts’ fundraising income is processed accurately and that funders are thanked appropriately and in a timely manner. You will provide administrative support across the team and work collaboratively with other internal teams and departments to ensure the smooth and effective running of the team. You will also be responsible for securing income from a portfolio of low level donors, contributing towards the team’s annual income target.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable experience of providing successful administrative support, where attention to detail was crucial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication skills to your audience
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work within a complex environment
  • A self-motivated attitude and an interest in fundraising and the work of the Salvation Army
